Mission Statement for Steadfast Women in Ministry (S.W.I.M.)
Steadfast Women in Ministry, Inc. is a Christian nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the wellbeing of faith communities by integrating theological wisdom with mental‑health practices. A central part of our mission is to destigmatize mental health within houses of worship, fostering environments where healing and emotional wellbeing are openly supported. Through initiatives like The Julienne Therapy Sponsorship, we break down financial barriers to counseling for underrepresented populations, especially women. We also maintain the S.W.I.M. Faith‑Affirming Care Directory, connecting individuals across multiple states with licensed clinicians who honor diverse spiritual traditions. By offering resources, training, and supportive partnerships, we help communities cultivate healing, dignity, and renewed strength across interfaith spaces and the broader public.
