Our Mission
The mission of Steadfast Women in Ministry, Inc. (S.W.I.M.) is to create supportive care systems that integrate theological insight with mental health practices, eliminate financial barriers to therapy for underrepresented populations, especially women and offer faith-affirming resources to both the interfaith community and the broader public.

A Message from Our Founder
Dr. Kim Murray Cruse, MDiv.,
When I founded Steadfast Women in Ministry (S.W.I.M.), it came from a deep conviction that faith and emotional wellness belong together. I wanted to build an interdenominational Christian community that equips God’s people, especially women with resources that honor both their spiritual growth and their mental well‑being.
This mission is also personal. I often think about the women who came before me, including my mother, and how meaningful it would have been for them to have access to compassionate, faith‑affirming support.
Through our conferences, support groups, trainings, prayer gatherings, and our national directory of faith‑affirming clinicians, we are creating pathways to whole‑person care rooted in Scripture and excellence.
And because access should never be a barrier, we established the S.W.I.M. Therapy Sponsorship Fund, so people seeking support can receive it with dignity and without hesitation.
