About the Event
A Call to Action for Black Church Leaders
From: W. Franklyn Richardson, Chairman of the Conference of National Black Churches
Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Ministry,
As we approach the holiday season, a time that can be both joyful and deeply difficult for many in our congregations. I am writing to you with urgency and hope.
Our churches have always been the anchor of healing and strength in the Black community. Yet today, we face a growing crisis: the rising rates of suicide in Black and African American communities. This is a call for us to act.
That is why The Conference of National Black Churches, in partnership with Steadfast Women in Ministry, Inc (SWIM), is honored to present: LET'S Save Lives An Introduction to Suicide Prevention for Black and African American Communities. A specialized training provided by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
