About the Event
Join Steadfast Women in Ministry, Inc's W.I.S.E Fellowship for an empowering workshop dedicated to Black maternal health and self-advocacy in the delivery room. In honor of Dr. Janell Green Smith, a brilliant scholar, midwife, and advocate whose life and legacy continue to illuminate the urgent need for safer, more equitable birthing experiences for Black mothers. Her passing due to childbirth complications is a painful reminder of the disparities we must confront, and the collective action required to change them.
We are honored to feature Dr. Ashanda Saint Jean, MD as our guest speaker, sharing her expertise and insights on navigating the healthcare system, advocating for yourself, and protecting maternal well-being. This workshop is a vital step toward reclaiming power, amplifying voices, and supporting safe, informed birthing experiences for Black mothers.
